The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price type contract for JOR 09-0304, INSTALL OPTICAL FIBER BACKBONE AT 6700 AREA FOR DOL, FORT DIX NJ

The following information is provided for synopsis of subject project.
Drawings with specifications will be posted with the solicitation in 15 days.

1. The subject project requires installation of single mode optical fiber backbone cabling from building 6741 to Buildings 6735-6738 & 6745 expanding DOIM network connectivity. Pathway installation requires new utility pole hardware, bucket truck, scissor lift, steel nipples, J-hooks, and fire stop as well as new wall mounted cabinets on fire retardant plywood backboard for cable installation in buildings 6735-6738 and building 6745. Installation of (1) one- inch HDPE inner-duct for each designated building entrance fiber conduit to maintenance holes in mainline. Bonding of new figure 8 aerial cables and new wall mounted cabinets to existing ground. Installation and fusion splicing of indoor/outdoor single mode fiber cables in maintenance hole and buildings. Fiber cable terminates with pigtails. Cables will be installed, terminated, labeled, and tested as per Fort Monmouth Specifications, ARMY guidelines, codes and commercial industry standards.
2. It is estimated that there will be ten (10) sheets per set of drawings.
3. Recommended construction completion period is 90 days.
4. Liquidated damages in the amount of $200.00 per day will be assessed.
5. There is no unit bid price schedule.
6. There is no Government furnished equipment.
