Ideas
on forming the Particle Physics Project Prioritization Panel (P5), one of the
recommendations of the DOE/NSF HEPAP Subpanel on Long-Range Planning, were
discussed at the HEPAP meeting in April 2002. In the interest of furthering
community input on how to set up this
important body, we are establishing a website (http://wb.hep.net:8080/~p5
) as a bulletin board where we welcome your suggestions and views on the
various aspects of P5. To stimulate the discussion, here is an initial
statement of ideas on forming P5 and some comments that flow from members of
HEPAP and ensuing discussions:
