Optical: mv~13.5 in quiescence, ~10.5 during minor outbursts; fx (2-10 keV)~3.2x10-11 ergs/cm/cm/s in quiescence (ASCA), 1.9x10-10 ergs/cm/cm/s in outburst (ASCA).
Periods:
  • Orbital: 1.996803 d = 47.923272 hr = 172523.78 s, seen in optical spectroscopy.
    Secondary's maximum redshift at HJD2444912.966(8)+1.996803(7)E

  • Spin: 0.0040625 d = 5.85 min = 351s, seen in X-rays and optical.

GK Per is a giant among Intermediate Polars, with a highly developed disk.
