The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a requirement to create a new Internet safety initiative in local schools. This program, known as “SOS” or “Safe Online Surfing,” is a non-profit endeavor which will target middle-school aged children in South Florida. The children will take quizzes available through “safe” web sites and winners will receive prizes from FBI Special Agents. The quizzes will consist of questions based on online safety and ways to avoid being a victim.

The FBI is seeking contractor assistance with the following: (1) developing subject material to be used in the quizzes and conducting presentations on internet safety to students, businesses and community members; (2) identifying and securing the cooperation of athletes and/or celebrities to serve as guess speakers or “SOS” spokepersons; (3) promoting the “SOS” program through business and community contacts, to include the media; (4) coordinating all press releases or press conferences; (5) provide the necessary computer programs and expertise in operating the internet program; (6) booking media interviews, photo opportunities and corporate sponsor lists.
