Training

FEMA supports emergency management activities nationwide by making training available to emergency management and fire personnel, government officials, voluntary agency personnel, and the general public.

FEMA’s training is delivered through the Emergency Management Institute (EMI) and the National Fire Academy (NFA).  These schools are collocated on the National Emergency Training Center (NETC) campus at Emmitsburg, Maryland.  Both EMI and NFA offer courses, workshops, and seminars on the Emmitsburg campus as well as nationwide through the State emergency management training program and fire service training programs.

Visit the National Fire Academy’s Web site at http://www.fema.gov/nfa to learn more about NFA training for fire and emergency services personnel.
