GIF Construction Set Instructions

Now that you have prepared your photographs, it is an easy process to make a slide show using the Animation Wizard in GIF Construction Set for Windows.

1. Start the GIF Construction Set program.

2. Select Animation Wizard from the File menu.

3. The Welcome screen for Animation Wizard will appear. Click on Next.

4. You will be asked to make several selections. The first one asks whether you want to create an animated GIF file for use with a World Wide Web page. Select Yes, for use with a Web page. Click on Next.

5. Decide whether or not you want your animated GIF file to loop indefinitely or animate once and stop on the last frame. Click on Next.

6. Select the type of images you are using for your animated GIF file. If you are using photographs, select Photorealistic. Click on Next.

7. Decide how much delay you want between frames. This value is in hundredths of a second. The default is 100 hundredths. That may be a bit fast for photographs. Try using 200 hundredths. Click Next.

8. You are now ready to select the source images for your animated GIF file. Click on Select to begin. Click on Cancel in the File Select dialog when you have selected all of your images. Then, click on Next.

9. Animation Wizard has completed your GIF file. Click on Done to load into GIF Construction Set.

10. Select Save As from the File menu. Type a filename no longer than 8 characters. Click on Save.

11. Click on View to see your finished animation. To exit the viewer, right click on the mouse.

There are several other functions from which to choose in GIF Construction Set. You can insert, edit, delete, and manage images. For information and instructions about these advanced features, select Help from the GIF Construction Set menu.
