The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to award a one year contract extension to Fugro EarthData, Inc. (Fugro) for procurement of Global Geospatial Intelligence (GGI) Star 3I airborne radar commercial imagery products on a sole source basis. The period of performance will be one from 14 January 2009 through 13 January 2010. This contract extension will provide NGA access to a combination of sensor capability and geopolitical products available from Fugro while NGA finalizes its acquisition strategy for a competitive follow-on acquisition. This contract extension represents the most effective approach to meet critical customer operational requirements pending the new acquisition. Products to be provided include Star 3I provides high-resolution radar images, Digital Surface Modes, and radar based map products and can operate day or night, through cloud cover, through light rain, snow, or dust. The scope of orders placed pursuant to this contract will be restricted to the geospatial services enumerated herein. Other geospatial services available under existing GGI contracts will not be ordered by NGA under this contract. See Note 22.
