OBJECTIVE: To study the profile of women attending STD Clinic at GGH. DESIGN: A total of 50 samples were selected using non-probability convenient sampling using interview schedule as a tool. RESULT: TABULAR DATA, SEE ABSTRACT VOLUME. LESSONS LEARNED: From the results it is evident that a large percentage of the attendees have marital disharmonies and partners addiction to alcohol leading them to high risk lifestyle. These can be intervened through marital counselling and family life education. Another factor is illiteracy among most of the attendees. Due to their ignorance about STDs they get infected through high risk behaviour of their partners. Hence education on STD/HIV is imperative.
