Our First-Year Program is over 20 years old and has served as a model in higher education. Other colleges have emulated parts of our program, but St. Lawrence's FYP remains the only one to combine team-taught interdisciplinary classes with common residency of the students in the class, and in which every course stresses writing and oral presentation skills and in which every student completes a major research project.
