1. An information recording apparatus for recording information on a recording medium comprising:
a non-volatile memory which retains information relating to the recording medium even if the power is turned off;
a judgment module which judges whether or not it is possible to record information on the recording medium based on the information relating to the recording medium which is retained in the non-volatile memory before completing recognition processing which makes the state of the recording apparatus ready for recording information on the recording medium based on information read from the recording medium; and
a memory device which accumulates information to be recorded on the recording medium;
wherein the recording apparatus records information accumulated in the memory device to the recording medium after performing recognition processing when turning on the recording apparatus or inserting the recording medium to the recording apparatus, and
wherein, if the judgment module judges that it is possible to record information on the recording medium based on the information relating to the recording medium which is retained in the non-volatile memory, the information recording apparatus starts accumulating information in the memory device before the recognition processing is complete.
