District Population
The Central District of California includes the seven counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. With more than 18 million residents, it is by far the most populous federal judicial district. The district’s population has grown significantly over the last 5-7 years, with particularly high growth rates in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. The population is primarily centered in the district’s 35 major metropolitan areas with populations over 100,000.
