LESA MEETING: LESA/IFPTE, Local 28, will hold its next monthly membership meeting on Wednesday, November 8, at noon in the Employee Center.

VETERANS RECOGNITION CEREMONY: Glenn's Veterans Awareness Committee is holding a Veterans Awareness Ceremony on November 9 from 1 - 2 p.m. in the Administration Building Auditorium. Attendees are encouraged to bring personal-size hygiene products (i.e. deodorant, toothbrush/paste, disposable razors, shaving cream, shampoo and hand/body cream) to be donated to Veterans Health Administration hospitals.

MAINTAIN WEIGHT AND WIN: Glenn’s Medical Services is sponsoring an incentive program for employees (civil servants and contractors) to maintain their weight through the holidays. For $5 per person, an employee weighs in (at the Fitness Center or Medical Services) the week of Nov 13 and again after the holidays, the week of Jan 8. If participants gain weight, their $5 is put into a kitty. If they maintain or lose, they receive $5 back—plus a piece of the kitty, up to a maximum of $25 per person. Excess kitty money will be donated to the Lewis Special Children’s Fund. For more information, contact Nancy Miller, clinical dietician, 216–433–8134.

FITNESS CENTER OPEN HOUSE: Glenn's Fitness Center is hosting an open house on November 14 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. The event includes equipment demonstrations, blood pressure screenings, door prizes, refreshments and more. Additional equipment demonstrations, featuring new equipment, will be conducted from 3 - 5:30 p.m.

NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH: The Native American Heritage Month observance is Thursday, November 16, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Administration Building Auditorium. The event features Ada Deer, director of the American Indian Studies Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and champion of Indian rights, who will speak on the theme "Generations of Innovation." ARMD TECHNICAL SERIES: Headquarters will host the third in a televised series of Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD) Technical Seminars on Tuesday, November 27, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The topic is "Advanced Technology Development for Planetary Entry, Descent and Landing." AFGE MEETING: AFGE Local 2182 will hold its next monthly membership meeting on December 6 at 5 p.m. at Denny's Restaurant, 25912 Lorain Road, North Olmsted.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT (PM) CHALLENGE 2007: Online registration for NASA's Fourth PM Challenge conference to be held in Galveston, Texas, on February 6 to 7, 2007, is now open by visiting http://pmchallenge.gsfc.nasa.gov/registration2007.htm.
