TO:Directors, Field Operations
FROM:Executive Director, Trade Programs; Office of Field Operations
SUBJECT:Inadvertent Omission of Tariff Change Rules in General Note 12(t) Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) Annotated

We have been advised by the U.S. International Trade Commission that Chapter 30 Tariff Change Rules (9) and (10) in General Note 12(t) were inadvertently left out of the printed and downloadable versions of the law. The missing text may be viewed in Annex II, Section 25 of Presidential Proclamation 7515, published in the Federal Register, Vol. 66, No. 247, December 26, 2001, p.66671.

This error will be amended in the next tariff revision.

Please pass to Area and Port Directors; Assistant Port Directors, Trade Operations; Field National Import Specialists; Import Specialists; Port Account Managers; Importers and Brokers.

If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Michael Walsh of my staff, at (202) 927-0370.
