Questionnaire

An Investigator initiates a request to use a facility by completing and submitting the Facility Use Questionnaire (FQ) to the FUO Manager. FUO staff assess the requirements for proposed experiments to determine whether experiments are feasible given such requirements and other constraints using the information provided in the questionnaire. This typically occurs prior to the PI submitting a grant proposal. The time required to prepare an experiment for implementation at the CGBR facility, and obtain review committee approval, is affected by the experiment’s complexity and by the other tasks being supported by FUO staff. However, typical preparation time is about three to four months. This interval usually allows sufficient time for experiment planning, approval of science protocols, and preparation of the facilities.
