The Notice also outlines the U.S. approach for the meeting. The deadline for receiving information and comments is November 28, 2008.

July 17, 2008 Notice: the Service published a Direct Final Rule and a Proposed Rule reducing the quantity of sturgeon or paddlefish caviar that may be imported or exported under the CITES personal effects exemption from 250 grams to 125 grams. The rule will bring U.S. regulations into line with revisions adopted by the CITES Conference of the Parties at their 14th meeting in June 2007.
