Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ)
Statistical Reporting Requirements

Each FTZ operator must be familiar with statistical reporting requirements regarding all merchandise admitted into and exiting the zone. For more information, please contact your nearest Customs Port or visit one of the associated links.

  • Goods admitted into an FTZ from a foreign country
    • Operator must file a Customs Form 214-A (Admittance to Foreign Trade Zone) for each shipment
  • All domestic goods admitted to an FTZ
    • Admittance of domestic merchandise is non-statistical, no document required.
  • Goods exiting an FTZ for domestic consumption
    • Operator must file a Customs Form 7501 (Entry Summary)
  • Goods exiting an FTZ for another zone, subzone or warehouse
    • Movement between zones is non-statistical, no document required.
  • Domestic or foreign goods exiting an FTZ for export outside the USA
