The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency has a requirement for installing mortarless brick siding. Work will be performed at the 100/200 Wings of the EPA National Vehicle and Fuel Emissions Laboratory, 2565 Plymouth Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The 100 and 200 wings have three sides each. The dimensions of the building exterior arears are as follows. The 100 wing are approximately 152ft X 48ft X 130ft in exterior length. The 200 wing dimensions are approximately 156ft X 48ft X 166ft in exterior length. The height of the exposed walls are approximately 56in to 62in with the majority of the walls at 61in. There are a total of 56 windows that are about 40in by 51in in height. There are also 2 doors, one at the end or each wing. The Laboratory Entrance has a wall approximately 22ft by 14ft. A second wall which is approximately 38ft X 5ft with four windows that match the dimensions of the wing windows. A third wall, that is approximately 40ft 9in X 8ft. A firm-fixed-price contract is contemplated.

The primary evaluation factors will be price and past performance of similar projects. The non-price evaluation factors are approximately equal in importance to price. The anticipated contract performance period is 60 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed. The estimated price range is under $75,000.

The solicitation will be issued on or about October 14, 2008. Prospective offerors may request a copy of the solicitation by emailing a request to niedermier.annette@epa.gov. The emailed request should cite the solicitation number and project title, i.e., PR-MI-09-10000, 100/200 Wing Mortarless Brick Siding. This is an unrestricted acquisition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Agency.
