The protective equipment must comply with ANSI standards (Subpart I, ANSI Z87.101989 if purchased after July 5, 1994, or ANSI Z87.1-1968 if purchased before July 5, 1994). Logger-type mesh screens are considered to be adequate eye and face protection for chain saw operators.
