Dear Sirs: The award winning, nonprofit Instituteof Consumer Financial Education (ICFE) believe the annual free credit reports now mandated under FACTA SHOULD INCLUDE the credit score. for free, since the score is an automated derivation and is, for most intents and purposes, the actual "end product". Understanding how one's credit score is calculated is a great need on the part of the American public. Charging a fee for the credit score strikes us as contrary to the concept of consumer empowerment that the free annual credit report was supposed to expedite. To summarize, we recommend that FACTA regulations allow consumers to access their credit scores for FREE, along with their annual free credit reports from each bureau. Respectfully submitted; Paul Richard, RFC Executive Director Institute of Consumer Financial Education PO Box 34070 San Diego, CA 92163 619-239-1401 www.icfe.info n
