Since the credit bureaus devised this method of ruling our lives, I feel that is really unfair for them to profit further from the consumer by selling this information about them to them. I believe that to distribute this information to the person that it is pertaining to is tantamount to selling people their medical records. Whatever the actual cost of copying these records would be a reasonable expense to pass on to the consumer. Likewise whatever actual cost is needed to pass their credit information to the consumer should be what we should pay. Since practically every adult in this country will be using this system, I can hardly see how the real cost would be more than 1 or 2 dollars. It would really show a willingness on the bureaus part to be fair if they provided this information free of charge, however I doubt that this will happen., But they certainly should not profit from providing this information to the consumer directly.
