Don't you get the message from 64 million people? Instead of opening loopholes in the Do Not Call Registry, you should be closing those that exist. The telephone is highly intrusive, and you are forcing people to use additional and inconvenient screening devices. You should be fostering an Opt In requirement for all people or groups who want to use my phone (which I have to pay for) so they can make a buck for themselves. That applies to all non-profit groups, government and quasi-government groups, utilities, and any other individual or organization without a written Opt-In request from me. DO NOT ALLOW THE INVASION OF MY HOME BY UNSOLICITED PHONE CALLS! Furthermore, by forcing me to give my name and state of residence in order to make this comment, which information presumably can be accessed by the very people we are trying to avoid, you are exposing me to more unsolicited calls and possibly even harassment. I know you are simply following the law, but I want it to be known that I RESENT THAT!
