The Commission invites interested persons to submit comments on an advance notice of proposed rulemaking that would implement the requirement in section 609(f)(8) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act that it determine a fair and reasonable fee to be charged by a consumer reporting agency for providing the information required under FCRA section 609(f). fair and reasonable fee to be charged by a consumer reporting agency--Nothing is Fair and reasonable about a consumer reporting agency. Credit Reports and Credit Scores should be FREE. I am a REPEAT customer. They have made big BUCKS off me. I have spent hundreds of dollars this past year on Credit Reports, just to dispute the inaccurate information that I can't get fixed even with COURT DOCUMENTS . Why don't the Credit Reporting Agencies believe a Federal Judge? Why are there so many of them? Why do they use different and confusing formats? My Credit Reports are incomplete and inaccurate. Therefore my Credit Score is crap, and is NOT a valid picture of my Credit Worthiness. And which score is accurate? They are clearly not the same. The sale of scores no lender uses is a waste of our money, but lines the Credit Reporting Agencies pockets. Credit Reporting has been turned into a loop hole for Credit Reporting Agencies to sell our information, reports and scores and lenders to drain us for every dime we have. Their Motto....KICK THEM WHILE THIER DOWN. I don't want to pay for inaccurate information. Credit Reports and Credit Scores should be FREE. Maybe if they didn't make so much money off the American Consumer, they might get the information right the first time, and then we wouldn't have to dispute over and over and over again, and then our Quality of LIFE would improve, there would be fewer suicides , divorces....ect.
