. aviation...
the winds have been a little bit stronger than forecast earlier
this evening from the east at 5 to 10 knots. so have update the
east coast taf sites early this morning to keep the easterly winds
instead of going northwest drainage flow.

the winds will remain easterly today along all of the east coast
taf sties ... while apf taf site becomes westerly around 19z due to
the west coast sea breeze.

the ceiling and vis will also remain in the vfr conditions early
this morning through this afternoon.

aviation...
similar conditions expected overnight as experienced the past few
nights. easterly winds will become light over the next hour or two
and give way to a land breeze late tonight at the east coast
terminals. sea breeze at kapf should shift back to light ne wind
before going nearly calm. winds will pick up from an ese direction
tomorrow morning with scattered clouds in the 3 - 5k foot layer. a
sea breeze is likely at kapf towards mid day or early afternoon
with a wind shift to the sw.

prev discussion... /issued 122 pm edt thu mar 12 2009/

discussion ... a deep layered ridge continues to control weather
across south florida today as it remains stretched across the
western atlantic across florida and into the gulf of mexico,
however as s fl remains south of the ridge axis low level moisture
will continue to increase. rain chances will remain next to none
through the weekend due to a subsidence inversion around 5 to 7k ft
and limited moisture, but the se flow is expected to increase
somewhat into the weekend as the surface ridge remains across the
atlantic and a surface low moves across the se states tightening
the gradient in s fl. this will allow for at least a few sprinkles
or very light showers to move into the east coast, but likelihood
of more than a trace is slim... so added sprinkles
tonight/tomorrow morning, but left it out for the following days
due to such low chance of actual accumulation. basically continued
warm and dry.

in the extended... the guidance continues to change with the gfs
now showing a weak front, or trough drifting into the area tues or
wed, but with little change in temps and only a slim chance of precip.

marine ... tranquil conditions will prevail across south florida
and the coastal waters through the weekend and into the coming
week. seas of 4 feet or less and winds of 15 kts are expected.

fire weather ... an east to southeast flow is expected to continue
through the weekend with moisture levels slowly increasing. this
will continue to lift the minimum relative humidities int he
afternoon farther and farther away from red flag criteria through
the weekend, however as moisture increases patchy to areas of fog
may become more common across interior locations toward early next week.
