I am not in favor of additional charges to consumers to obtain their credit scores. First of all it is becoming increasingly more tedious and time-consuming for consumers to protect their identity and verify and maintain all the information that is available about them. Having been a victim of identity theft - outside of the emotional turmoil you deal with, there is so much to go through to get things cleared up and defend and prove yourself, sometimes having your own character questioned in the process. Considering that so people and businesses use credit reports to make judgments and decisions about consumers and often these decisions are crucial to a person's survival and livelihood, the process should be as simple and considerate as possible to the consumer so that they can consistently access and verify that same information about themselves that others are accessing to make decisions about them. If anyone should pay to access the information it should be the creditors and businesses that want to use the information to base their decisions on. Thank you for the opportunity to express my opinion in this matter.
