... wintry mix possible this evening...
temperatures across the northern cumberland plateau and portions of
extreme southwest virginia will hover close to freezing through the
evening. rain may mix with or change to snow ... sleet ... or freezing
rain. locations with the best chance of seeing frozen precipitation
will be near the kentucky border ... and in higher elevations. the
precipitation will remain light ... and any snow or sleet
accumulations will be less than one inch.
bridges and overpasses across the area may become slick ... so
drivers should use caution.
