Only one thing aggravates me more than to receive an unwanted telemarketing call (we're on the registry) and that is to receive an automated message. It makes no difference whether that call is from an "established business relationship." The discourtesy of an intrusion into my home, on telephone equipment that I pay for, is aggravated by many orders of magnitude when it comes by machine. It is an insult that I despise. This happens at least once a month on my office phone - even on its voice mail - and when I call the number in the message to ask that my business phone ( , listed to the St. Petersurg Times at Tallahassee, Fl) be deleted from their list, I usually experience the additional discourtesy of being hung up on. The repeat offender is MBNA. To make it plain, I am fiercely opposed to ANYTHING that would lead to automated sales pitches to my home regardless of loophole or pretext. Thank you.
