Comments:
I oppose allowing telemarketers to make pre-recorded "robot" calls. Telemarketing is an abuse of the privacy of citizens. It keeps me from using a fax machine because ads take up all the paper and it destroys domestic privacy by an unending barrage--and the assault metphor is intentional--of unwanted calls. These people are the enemies of civic communication and the joys of innocent conversations among friends and family by making phone calls objects of dread.
