GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Bertan MWPC Series are precision High Voltage Power Supplies designed for use with multiwire proportional chambers. They utilize Bertan's proprietary linear circuitry for the development of highly stable, regulated, low noise output voltages. Each dual width NIM MWPC power supply delivers two equally rated outputs of either the same or opposite polarities. Each output is completely independent of the other, allowing greater local and remote programming flexibility. Fast and slow overcurrent detectors protect sensitive MWPC loads. The precision output current auto nulling circuitry eliminates the need for zero offset adjustment.

Dual Current Meters
Independent meters read true output as low as 100 nA full scale.

Meter Range Switches
Separate 5 range rotary switches select the desired current meter range for each power supply. 1mA, 100p.A, 10uA, 1uA and 0.1uA current full scale can be selected. Current trip and high voltage shutdown will occur when current exceeds 80% of the selected range.

ON/OFF Switches
Independent power supply on/off power switches and power on indicators.

Precision Output Voltage Control
Two independent multi-turn potentiometers and precision indicator dials set the output voltages for each power supply in the local operating mode.

High Voltage Monitors
Dual independent miniature coaxial connectors for monitoring each high voltage output (+1V/kV).

Current Monitors
Independent miniature coaxial connectors for monitoring each power supply current (+1V/100uA).

Front Panel Color
   Indicates polarity of unit.

Trip Monitors
Independent toggle switches select HOLD or AUTO RESET modes after the power supply has tripped. In HOLD mode, the high voltage will stay off after an overload. In the AUTO RESET mode the high voltage will cycle off and on until the overload is removed.

Trip Hold/Reset Switches
Parallel miniature coaxial connectors provide trip monitoring for each power supply. When either or both supplies trip, the monitor is grounded. The two connectors permit daisy-chaining multiple units to a single remote trip indicator.
