Station Identification Codes |

These codes correspond to the stn_id field for each profile
our data sets. There is a stn_name field associated with
each profile that is the World Meteorological Number (WMO).
Tao and Pirata moorings have a 5-digit WMO number. A list of Tao and Pirata moorings and their associated WMO numbers and locations can be found at the PMEL Tao page or the new NODC Tao page. A list of Argo floats and WMO numbers can be found on the Coriolis page. Argo floats can also be distinquished by a stn_id like QAbnnnnn where A is a WMO region of deployment and b=9 to signify a float. |
