I support the written presentation made by the International Council of Online Professionals on September 7, 2004, 12:58:25 PM, Tracking Number OL-100065. As a business owner... I use the internet and email FOR business purposes... I ask the FTC commission to consider the presentation provided by the International Council of Online Professionals... Spam must be stopped... but not at the expense of small business owners who utilize email to deliver membership agreements, receipts for customer purchases or information that the customer has requested. Unfortunately the previous decisions by the FTC to allow ISP's to filter whatever email they choose has created a problem of even personal email NOT being delivered. I sincerely ask that you will consider the information provided by the International Council of Online Professionals and NOT utilize the advice and recommendations of companies such as Microsoft and other email delivery vendors who have a monetary and vested interest in pay per email delivery methods. It is my sincere hope that the FTC will keep in the forefront of the decision making process the thousands of legitimate online small business owners who rely on email and the internet to deliver information and newsletters to their business customers WITHOUT utilizing spam and spamming methods. Thank you for your time, Rona Olson NatureLiving Company
