2006-02-22 - "Collection 5" reprocessing activities for the MODIS Atmospheres suspended "Collection 5" reprocessing activities for the MODIS Atmospheres products from the Terra MODIS has been suspended recently to take into account improvements in producing aerosols and cloud top properties. These improvements will be incorporated into Terra MODIS reprocessing and ultimately make the products produced in Terra Collection 5 equivalent to those that will come from the Aqua MODIS when that reprocessing commences. Due to these updates in reprocessing the Atmospheres Collection 5 reprocessing completion has now slipped from August to December 2006.
