    SCOPE

    This part of ISO/IEC TR 9573 is a description of the elements
    used in a typical SGML application, that for International Standards,
    Technical Reports, and International Standardized Profiles
    used at the ISO Central Secretariat, together with a formal
    definition in the form of a DTD.

    USER REQUREMENTS

    - a "user guide" enabling users to create documents in accordance
      with the ISO CS application using
      - SGML context sensitive editors
      - other editors (in which SGML markup is inserted as text)

    - a formal definition of the application in order that it can
      be implemented in systems supporting SGML

    - an application rich enough to handle all elements (e.g. tables
      mathematics, chemistry, graphics) that occur in International
      Standards, Technical Reports, and International Standardized
      Profiles

    - an application designed so that interchange of documents, in
      an electronic form, between standard bodies can take place
      and the documents reused (e.g. as national standard) without
      major changes
