CBP to Participate in Open Career Day Hosted by Women in Federal Law Enforcement (WIFLE, Inc.)

contacts for this news releaseWashington, DC - Women who desire a career in law enforcement have a unique opportunity to begin their professional journey thanks to Women in Federal Law Enforcement’s (WIFLE, Inc.) upcoming Career Day. Open to the public, this event will take place at the Capital Hilton in Washington, DC on June 19, 2006 from 1pm – 5 pm. Representatives from U.S. Customs and Border Protection will be present to provide information on career opportunities at CBP.The Capital Hilton is conveniently located at 1001 16th St. NW, and is located near the Farragut North (red line), Farragut West (orange/blue lines), and McPherson Square (orange/blue lines) Metro stations.The theme of this year’s Career Day is “Law Enforcement IS for YOU.” Representatives from a wide variety of agencies will be available to discuss their experiences, challenges, and opportunities for women in federal law enforcement. In addition to Career Day, workshops will be held to provide attendees with more detailed information about careers in federal law enforcement.Admission is free.WIFLE, Inc. is a professional organization that seeks gender equality within the federal law enforcement community through the recruitment, retention, and promotion of qualified women.
