2003-12-23 - Terra MODIS Transitioned to Standby Mode The Terra MODIS (PFM) has been successfully transitioned to Standby Mode, the Door Trigger Table was dumped, the SVD was opened, the Door Trigger Table was dumped again, and the instrument transitioned to Science Mode. All commanding executed as expected and finished at 05:36 PM EST on Monday, December 22, 2003.
The Cold Focal Plane Assemblies should reach their operating temperature of 83K in roughly 48 hours. The black body is currently off, it will be powered to 290K around 10:00 AM EST on Wednesday, December 24, 2003. The NAD will be opened during a TDRSS contact around 04:00 PM EST on Wednesday, December 24, 2003.
