Fruit Fly (Diptera: Tephritidae) Systematists

The most active systematists currently studying Tephritidae are listed below. The Research Interests field briefly lists their areas of emphasis concerning fruit flies (but by no means all their interests!) by area, taxon, or methodology; unless otherwise indicated, an area generally refers to all taxa from that region, and a taxon indicates interest in the world fauna for that group. Many of these individuals have indicated willingness to identify specimens, but they should of course be contacted on an individual basis prior to sending material. Additional individuals studying Tephritidae and other Dipterists may be found in the Dipterists' Directory (Thompson 1999, Diptera Data Dissemination Disk 1) and in the World Directory of Systematic Entomologists.
