I think there should not be a fee. If I am able to get my Credit Report free once a year to monitor if things are being reported correctlly I should also be able to get my score at that time. Those who will benifit most are those companies that are selling my information to companies that are making judgements on me based on said score so they have proof as to why they deny me credit or charge me an extra premium if that score is too low in there opinion or guide lines. Why wouldn't you allow the availability of a person to get a copy of there score with there report? Most people do not know they can get a FREE copy of there report once a year, so how much money would be lost if the score was given at the same time? Those who need there credit reports and scores faster than the means of getting it free are going pay for it any way because they have too. Why not give a break to those who are just trying to make sure the things that are contained in there credit file are being reported corretlly?
