Re: Section 13 - Even if a sender encourages customers to "forward to a friend," the original sender can't be held liable for what someone else does. Maybe the recipient sincerely believes his friend would enjoy the message as much as he did. Or maybe the recipient is angry at the sender and wants to cause trouble – he can create double trouble, uncounted problems, if the original sender can be held responsible for someone else's actions. In the same way, one advertiser should not be penalized for the actions of another. Each individual and company must be responsible for and penalized for his own violations. Re: Sec. 5(a)(5)(A)(iii) - A valid post office box should be allowed. Many small Internet marketers, like me, work from our homes. It would be irresponsible to require us to put our physical addresses in every e-mail we send. We would hope our customers are fine, upstanding citizens, but there are too many crazies in the world to risk our physical safety. Renting office space would increase the cost of doing business so much it would shut down many small, part-time, hard-working, legitimate companies. Instead of stopping the bad guys, who would probably use a phony address anyway, requiring a street address would jeopardize the future of honest businesses trying to comply with the law.
