Astronaut William E. Thornton conducts a medical test on Astronaut Guion S. 
Bluford in the middeck section of JSC's One-G trainer for the shuttle 
orbiter. The two mission specialists are demonstrating the head/eye
tracking  experiment for STS-8. Bluford's head was in motion, as the test
subject is to  move his head from side to side while blindfolded and
electrode-fitted  (37626); Thornton and Bluford demonstrate an on-orbit
experiment. The  treadmill device which Bluford is strapped into was
designed by Dr. Thornton  (37627).
