Citation for Bronze Star Medal

Citation:

By direction of the President and under the provisions of Army Regulations 600-45, CHARLES F. CHENWORTH, Major K 100036, United States Coast and Geodetic Survey, Headquarters 292nd Field Artillery Battalion, United States Army, is awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service in connection with military operations against an enemy of the United States during the period 23 February 1945 to 7 May 1945 in France and Germany. His energetic, intelligent, handling of his job as Battalion Survey Officer in a manner over the ordinary or necessary line of duty has been a prime factor in the smooth and efficient operation of this battalion.
