Do Not Email Registry - in order to comply with the law as it is, suppression is a nightmare. To add another list such as this is truly harming business while doing nothing to help spam. Those that don't wish to receive email must unsubscribe. If that request is not honored, the sender is breaking the law. The "bounty" idea is terrible and will lead to numerous phony suits clogging up the judicial system. Effectivensess/Enforcement of the law: While good intended, CAN-SPAM is so far hurting legitimate businesses, make commerce much more difficult and expensive, while doing nothing to limit spam. Subject line labeling: Requiring ADV for permission mail will seriously hurt businesses and limit ability to grow. Spammers are not going to do this in any event.
