  • Of all people arrested in the Nation's cities during 2005, 83.2 percent were adults (age 18 and over); 29.2 percent of persons arrested were between the ages of 18 and 24. (Based on Table 46.)
  • Adults also made up 83.2 percent of the people arrested for violent crime and 73.0 percent of those arrested for property crime.
  • For the crime of larceny-theft, 26.7 percent of all people arrested were juveniles. (Based on Table 46.)
  • Among those individuals arrested for drug abuse violations, 11.1 percent were juveniles. (Based on Table 46.)
