    Description: From website: The research group "Wildlife Diseases" is one of five groups working within the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research. The Wildlife Disease group investigates: (1) the development, occurrence and pathogenesis of important diseases, (2) the influence of diseases on the dynamics of free-ranging or captive wild animal populations, (3) mutual transmission of infectious agents between wild and domestic animals, and (4) the potential reservoir role of wild animals for infectious agents harming domestic animals or men.
