LIEUTENANT
COMMANDER JOHN C. BULL (K-100005), United States Coast
and Geodetic Survey, Twelfth Fleet, United States Navy, is awarded
the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service in England and
France, from 1 March 1944 to 31 August 1944, in connection with
military operations against the enemy. Lieutenant Commander
Bull by his untiring efforts perfected the survey of his battalion
upon its arrival in England and coordinated the artillery survey
of an entire corps. After commitment of his battalion to combat
in France, Lieutenant Commander Bull directed and supervised
a survey within the Corps. So efficiently did he perform his
duties that valuable survey control was available to the artillery
at all necessary points. By his efforts, Lieutenant Commander
Bull contributed materially to the successful employment of
the Corps artillery against the enemy. The meritorious achievement
of Lieutenant Commander Bull is in keeping with the highest
traditions of the military service. Entered Military Service
