A1sxx_YYYYMMDD.TXT File Description: Hourly output of deduced bulk flow velocity and first-order anisotropy data of H, He, O, and Fe ions. Data format is tab-delimited text file, whose 8-digit name is yyyymmdd that gives the year, month, and day of the launch time of the primary coronal mass ejection (CME) for given solar energetic particle (SEP) event. In addition, two digits xx = im (go) when the proton energy spectrum is calculated from IMP-8 (GOES) data. The following symbols are used to represent different ions. i = 1 pl: 2.5-4 MeV H ions i = 2 al: 2.5-5 MeV/n He ions i = 3 ah: 5-8 MeV/n He ions i = 4 ol: 2.5-5 MeV/n O ions i = 5 fl: 2.5-5 MeV/n Fe ions Variable Notes: Year (I4), Month (I2), Day (I2), Hour (I2), Doy (F11.6), and Day (F11.6) Doy: Day of Year; Day: Day of Month with Day < 0 (> 31) indicating that the day is in the last (next) month Solar Wind & IMF Variables and their RMS deviations B, dB 1AU IP Magnitude of average field vector (nT) thetaB, dthetaB 1AU IP Latitude/Theta of average B vector (deg) phiB, dphiB 1AU IP Longitude/Phi of average B vector (deg) phiB`, dphiB` When phiB > 180, phiB` = phiB-360 (deg) N, dN 1AU IP Ion number density (per cc) Vsw, dVsw 1AU IP plasma flow speed (1000 km/s) phisw, dphisw 1AU IP plasma flow direction longitude (deg) Va Alfven speed (1000 km/s) Ion Spectra Variables for 5 ion species Gama0 (i = 1, 5) Power-law index of ion energy spectra Tm (i = 1, 5) Mean energy of ions in given energy range (MeV/n) logJm (i = 1, 5) Logarithmic ion intensity at Tm (1/(cm2 s sr MeV/n)) Bulk Flow Velocity and First-order Anisotropy (in the solar wind frame) and their RMS deviations for 5 ion species VF, dVF (i = 1, 5) Ion bulk flow speed (1000 km/s) phiF, dphiF (i = 1, 5) Longitudianl angle of ion bulk flow velocity (deg) phiF-phiB, d(phiF-phiB) (i = 1, 5) Difference between phiF and PhiB (deg) A1s, dA1s (i = 1, 5) Magnitude of ion first-order anisotropy in the solar wind frame phiA1s, dphi1A1s (i = 1, 5) Longitudianl angle of ion first-order anisotropy in the solar wind frame (deg) A1speB, dA1speB (i = 1, 5) Pependicular to the magnetic field component of ion first-order anisotropy in the solar wind frame A1spaB, dA1spaB (i = 1, 5) Parallel to the magnetic field component of ion first-order anisotropy in the solar wind frame
