The Bureau of Engraving & Printing intends to procure the following BLADES from Industrial Knife Company on a sole source basis. These Blades are a repair part for the I-10 press. The description is as follows:
BLADE, DRY THIN, .010" THICK X 2" WIDE 32 13/16 (+.000" - 1/32") LONG. UHB BLUE POSLISHED SPRING STEEL, HARDENED & TEMPERED WITH FULL RADIUSES. EDGE TO BE FREE OF NICKS AND BURRS. EDGE TO BE STRAIGHT WITHIN .005" OVER ENTIRE BLADE LENGTH OF BLADE.
This procurement action is for supplies in which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Far 6.302 and 13.10601. See numbered notes 22. The resulting purchase order will not exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. The procedures set forth in FAR part 12 and 13.106-3 shall be used.
