The Rangeley Sub-Station agents are responsible for patrolling 81 miles of land border between the United States and Canada. The Rangeley AOR is bordered with Jackman Station on the east and New Hampshire on the west. The border area is remote and heavily wooded. Mountains are numerous and are present throughout the Rangeley area of operation. The Rangeley Sub-Station was originally established to support the Colburn Gore Port of Entry and is now under the supervision of the Jackman Station Patrol Agent in Charge.
