Content Description
Abstract: This scene is an IKONOS Carterra Pro 1-meter pan-sharpened color image of the Manuka area of the Big Island, Hawaii. It is IKONOS Consortium tile hawaaa07.
Vendor Product Description - The Space Imaging Carterra Pro product is an orthorectified image product that meets NMAS for 1:12,000 (1" = 1,000') mapping. Available in 1-meter pan, 4-meter multispectral, and pan-sharpened formats. Pro 1 and 4-meter products are the highest accuracy orthorectified products derived from IKONOS imagery that do not require ground control. Panchromatic and multispectral images are available in 8-bit and wide-dynamic range 11-bit formats. Pro level IKONOS products are perfect for projects requiring high-resolution imagery and positional accuracy when ground control may be costly, difficult, or impossible to acquire.
Purpose: IKONOS Carterra Pro products are ideal for visual and interpretive applications such as asset assessment and image visualization. These products are perfect for projects requiring high-resolution imagery and positional accuracy when ground control may be costly, difficult, or impossible to acquire. While the 1-meter products are excellent for imagery backdrops, manual feature extraction, and facilities level detail; the 4-meter multispectral product is most suited for spectral analysis and feature space attribute extraction.

Customer may choose to receive four files of one band each or one file with three bands in a natural color (red, green, blue) or color infra-red (NIR, red, green) combination.
IKONOS metadata includes order parameters, source image description, and product file descriptions. Order parameters include area of interest, spectral bands, and coordinate system. Source image descriptions include the acquisition date, sun angle, and viewing geometry. Product file descriptions includes geocoding, spectral bands, and coverage area. Metadata is provided in an ASCII text file.
