Genetic Features - Figure 4. Mosiacism for two abnomal cell lines

  1. The sperm cell has an isoXq chromosome
  2. 46,X,iXq fertilized egg: this has one normal X from the mother and an iXq chromosome from the father.
  3. Upon cell division to form the embryo, the iXq chromosome may be lost from one of the daughter cells.
  4. The resulting girl is mosaic for 45,X and 46,XiXq cell lines. Since no cells have a normal complement of X chromosomes, she is likely to have a full blown Turner phenotype.
