Winter Flounder  

Winter Flounder - right-eyed, very robust small, rounded puckering lips directly in front of eyes, strait lateral line.

   

Windowpane Flounder  

Windowpane Flounder -left-eyed flounder, strongly arched lateral line, first rays in dorsal appear 'frilly'. Very thin and transparent as a windowpane.

   

Four Spot Flounder  

Four Spot Flounder - left-eyed flounder, four distinct black spots surrounded by pinkish circle

   

Winter Flounder  

Witch Flounder -right eyed, very small mouth, strait lateral line.

   

Summer Flounder  

Summer Flounder - left-eyed flounder, large mouth, dorsal and anal fins symmetrical and separated considerably from the anal fin.

   

Yellowtail Flounder  

Yellowtail Flounder - right-eyed flounder, small mouth, very arched lateral line.

   

American Placie  

American Plaice - very large mouth reaching below the rear edge of the eye, lateral line slightly rising over pectoral fin.
