Wait List Registration
More than 600 Representatives from Trade Community Register for CBP Trade Symposium

Washington – As of September 3, more than 600 members of the trade community have registered to attend CBP’s ninth annual Trade Symposium to be held on Octctober 29 – 31 at the J.W. Marriott in Washington, D.C.

CBP has reached maximum capacity for the 2008 Trade Symposium. Registration for the Trade Symposium, which opened on September 2 at noon, is full at this time. Even though registration is full, you may still complete an on-line registration form to be placed on a waiting list. There is a chance that some of the over 600 current registrants might cancel, and if on the waiting list, you will be contacted as space becomes available. ( Wait List Registration )

This year’s Symposium will focus on CBP’s commitment to security and trade programs amidst the administration’s transition. New this year are special breakout sessions that include information on CBP and TSA air cargo screening, implementing Importer Security Filing, C-TPAT best practices, USDA/CBP Agriculture mission, upcoming ACE changes, import safety, and the CBP Trade Strategy.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation's borders at and between the official ports of entry. CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.
